Trans Music Archive and Final Girl partner to release the upcoming Um, Jennifer? album on vinyl, the band releases single, "Old Grimes"

We're so is excited the Trans Music Archive has partnered with Final Girl Records and is celebrating their launch with Um, Jennifer? for their debut LP “Um Comma Jennifer Question Mark” on a limited vinyl pressing of 50 copies, available for pre-order now.

Trans Music Archive is a trans owned and operated nonprofit organization that focuses on preserving the legacy of trans musicians in physical format. Their first initiatives are:

- Pressing vinyl records for trans artists at no cost to them

- Collecting and cataloging all the trans music we can find in a physical archive

PLUS, Um, Jennifer? has released the last single before their debut record arrives.

“Old Grimes” finds us in an unfamiliar place for the enigmatic duo, composed of Fig Regan and Elijah Scarpati: the edge of the void. Something is shifting. “I’m toeing a hard line!” Eli’s vocal delivery throws us back out, away from the edge. He sings about listening to old songs by Grimes. The good old days. And then just like that we’re thrown back to the edge, closer even. The bass and drums threaten to throw us into nothingness. And then back again. The final verse lets you think you’re out of it. Safety at last. As Scarpati puts it, “I mean, come on! There’s an acoustic guitar! The void wouldn’t have an acoustic guitar!”
